About the memorial: A marble (?) plaque with curved top over plain cross with dedication and names below in etched black lettering. To place a memorial tablet in the parish church of Claypole. That the said tablet is to be placed on the south wall of the nave and is to be of marble on slate background about three feet six inches by about two feet three inches with the following inscription namely: “This tablet was erected by the parishioners in grateful memory of the men of Claypole who fell in the Great War, 1914 – 1918” (here follows five names) “Their bodies are buried in peace, but their names liveth for evermore” Faculty Book 13, page 636, dated 27th July 1920. Unveiled by Mr. Harry Coulby of the U.S.A. July 1920

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
