About the memorial: Rectangular brass plaque with single line incised border. In the centre of the plaque is a shield with the motto FORTIS ET FIDELIS under and surmounted by a crest. On the left of the shield is a crown and sunbursts with the words AUSTRALIAN COMMONWEALTH MILITARY FORCES. To the right of the shield is the word AUSTRALIA. Lettering is engraved in black.
