About the memorial: Post Office War Memorial: This is a replacement of the original gun-metal plaque which was found in a skip when the Victoria Square Post Office was being renovated. It was repaired but was too heavy to hang on a modern internal wall. Metal plaque mounted onto a wooden board. Scene depicted within medallions on each corner of the plaque sailor is in the upper left corner, a soldier is in the upper right and lower left corner and a soldier standing in mourning with arms reversed is in the lower right corner. Foliage border. At the top center of the plaque are draped flags around a wreath. Information submitted to WMT suggests that the original memorial is now held at Kidderminster Postal Museum. However, the location/existence of this museum has not been found and further information would be welcomed.
