About the memorial: Base surmounted by tapering plinth, shaft and in-filled wheel cross. Carved inscription on the front face of the plinth and plaque for WW2 attached to the 3 o'clock face of the plinth. Sword of sacrifice on the 6 o'clock face of the cross.
