About the memorial: Single-stepped square base surmounted by a rectangular sectioned rough-hewn tapering plinth & Celtic style wheel cross. Inverted Sword of Sacrifice in relief on front face of shaft. Leaded inscription lettering on smoothed front face of plinth.
