About the memorial: Two triangular-headed white marble tablets with inscription in gold and black lettering. Crests are either side of the top of the inscription and at the top of the tablet. Crest of the Liverpool pals is to the left of the inscription and crest of the King's Liverpool Regiment is to the right. The diocesan crest is at the top of the tablet.
