About the memorial: There are two plaques in the current building built in 1990. A wooden plaque with gilt lettering dedicated to the First World War was carved and gilded by Reverand Ford whose son Walter is listed amongst the fallen. A second wooden plaque was added for those who died in the Second World War and includes a man who died in the Malayan Emergency in 1951. It commemorates the dedication of a clock to those who died but the clock is no longer present.
