About the memorial: Nowy-headed, white marble plaque with grey marble surround. Family crest top centre. Black lettering. The top section of the memorial is dedicated to family members who were not casualties of war. The lower section includes two was casualties.

Lower portion - Also of their eldest son Lieutenant-Colonel James Forbes Chisholm Batten A.P.D., J.P. and of Anne Douglas Chisholm Batten his wife. He died 17th march 1915 in his 69th year, the 32nd of their marriage. She died 1st December 1917 in her 66th year, During the Great War in which fell her eldest son James Utermarck Chisholm Batten 2nd Lieutenant 3rd Dorsets and her youngest son John de Havilland Chisholm Batten Major R.F.A. Resurgam.
