About the memorial: A wall mounted white marble tablet set in an alabaster frame on a marble backboard. The upright oblong tablet has stepped corners and the incised inscription in upright mainly capital Roman lettering coloured black. The frame is of mottled brown alabaster with curved and swirled edges. The mottled grey marble backboard has a plain oblong outline.
