About the memorial: Plinth with stone column surmounted by a cross. On the 6 o'lock face of the column is a shield with lion on it and below it is a sword with ribbon carved around the blade. On the 9 o'clock face of the column is a shield with lion and saltire on it. On the 12 o'clock face of the column is a shield with thistle a crown on it. On the 3 o'clock face of the column is a shield with saltire on it. There are 3 names tablets for WW1, an added tablet for WW2, and on the surrounding wall a plaque for a casualty from Afghanistan
