46 COMMANDO RM. THE GROUP WAS FORMED FOR THE NORMANDY LANDINGS AND TOOK PART IN THE HEAVY AND BLOODY FIGHTING WHICH FOLLOWED IN NORTHERN FRANCE. OF 450 MEN WHO LANDED IN NORMANDY IN JUNE 1944, ONLY 150 REMAINED BY THE FOLLOWING SEPTEMBER, THE REST HAVING BEEN KILLED WOUNDED OR CAPTURED
