About the memorial: Three-stepped square base surmounted by a square sectioned plinth with part-chamfered corners, tapering square shaft, tabernacle, topped by a short-armed wheel cross. Inscription in relief circumnavigates upper faces of plinth, whilst incised inscription names on plinth are infilled in black. Carved figures, set in the niches of the tabernacle. Figures of the Crucifixion; St. George, St. Catherine & peace depicted in the tabernacle. At each corner, is an angel holding a shield. c IWM Archive
