About the memorial: Window in St Helena's Church. A 3 light stained glass window with tracery at the top. This window is a depiction of the emotion of battle; aircraft and men being lost in the mission. Lancaster bombers are depicted in all three lights, and within the centre light the aeroplanes become crosses. The tower of the church and Lancasters in the tracery is symbolic of a safe return to base. The Squadron badge and roundels containing the symbols of the Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and British Air forces are depicted In the lower side of the right light. The window is dedicated to 166 Squadron Royal Air Force who flew from the now Humberside Airport. Beneath the window a framed and glazed 'Twinning Agreement' certificate is hung. This is between the Village of Kirmington and Terbregge district in the Netherlands who benefited from the Op manna drops by 166 Squadron. Adjacent to the certificate is an unframed painting of Lancasters dropping food supplies over the Dutch countryside during Op Manna.
