About the memorial: Two bronze plaques have been combined together - the upper circular plaque commemorates lives lost in the First World War and the bottom rectangular plaque commemorates lives lost in the Second World War. Both plaques have an outer laurel wreath design with a figure on top of each Unveiled 15 May 2009 at new location bronze commemorates former staff members of Birmingham Post and Mail. In November 2017, the memorial was moved from the Fort Dunlop building to the printing works due to the company moving out of Fort Dunlop and is located in the reception area of the printing works.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
