About the memorial: Memorial garden for 18 victims of two air raids in 1940 (the first daylight raid on mainland Britain). The garden is very new - it does not appear on the current Google street view pictures of the road. It is a collection of themes about the nature of the community which was bombed - mainly nautical as the site is maybe 100 metres from the harbour.
