About the memorial: Modern three light stained glass window with tracery lights above it. Inscription in the left and right hand light and along the base of all three lights. Window depicts the Holy Spirit at the top of the centre light, two doves towards the bottom of the left light, a sheath of corn at the bottom of the left light and the badges of the Royal Tank Regiment and Royal Armoured Corps at the very bottom of the left and right hand lights. The original Church was burnt down in January 1986. This memorial window was added during re-building in 1991. The cost was £15,000 -the total for this window and the Lothian and Border Horse yeomanry window that was erected. The cost also includes a £5,000 prize for the memorial design competition. Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
