About the memorial: this is a metal fenced area on the corner with paths and grass around the central obelisk and several memorials all of which have separate entries on this list- see numbers Boer War 106310, WW1 rolls of honour 251632 and WW11 rolls of honour, civilian deaths and NI 251684- 4 stepped base then base of column has a sloped top with square "sacrifice, suffering, service" on the sides and on the front is a laurel wreath "1914-1919" then a carved leaf border before the 4 sided tapering column. area opened on 30 September 1920 by Lord Dartmouth and WW1 memorials dedicated by Revd H P Hyatt on 4 June 1922
