This tablet/ is erected by the officers & men/ of the/ Royal Army Medical Corps (vols)/ Glasgow Companies/ in memory of their colleagues/ members of the active service section/ of the corps, who lost their lives during the/ South African Campaign/ Corpl G.G Penman/ died at Bloemfontein 12th Nov 1900/ Corpl J Howat/ died at Bloemfontein 1st Dec 1900/ Private W Munro/ drowned at Elandsfontein 7th April 1901.
