About the memorial: Talybont Memorial Hall was opened in September 1926. It contains within it two slate/shale plaques recording members of the community who served in the First World War and a smaller white marble plaque recording those killed. A separate white marble plaque records the fallen from the Second World War. Underneath it is a small slate/shale plaque commemorating a local serviceman who died in Borneo in 1965. The front of the building features inscribed stones detailing eight benefactors and two quotes.
