About the memorial: A recreation ground, presented to the town by the widow of Richard Worsley who wished it to be named after him. She also desired it to remember Cuckfield men who served in WW1. At the entrance to the drive down from the High Street are two stone plaques, that on the left naming the park after Mr Worsley and that on the right in memory of those who served. The drive goes down to a well kept recreation ground with sports facilities.
