About the memorial: The villages of Upper and Lower Boddington have changed markedly in the past 100 years. This volume records the names of those families now living in our villages that were affected by the Great War. The people listed need not have come from the villages of Upper and Lower Boddington but anywhere in the country. Each page names a soldier of the Great War who was killed, injured or otherwise affected; each page contains a name and a short biography. All those men listed on the village War Memorial are remembered. The book also contains the names of those who came home. The book was created by Sqn Ldr (Rtd) Sandy Pattenden, Church Warden in 2013-2014 and finished in time for the centenary of the start of the Great War.
