In 2018, WMT gave a grant towards this war memorial. As it has been a number of years since the grant was given, we would like an up-to-date condition survey and photographs to be added to this war memorial record. Can you help?

About the memorial: The war memorial is constructed of pink Corrennie granite and was dedicated in September 1920 to the memory of the men of Bourock Parish Church and parish who died in the First World War. In the late 1940s the fourth panel was added in memory of the members of the church who died in the Second World War. In the spring of 2018, the memorial was restored with the assistance of a grant from the Centenary Memorials Restoration Fund Within the church there is a Roll of Honour commemorating the members of the church and parish who served in the First World War.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
