About the memorial: just inside the park gates to the right is a small brick pillar with a shaped top. On the 3 sides are 2 dedicatory plaques and one with the artillery motto. the metal plaques seem to be covered in rigid plastic to protect them. on the centre panel is also the badge of the Royal Artillery

Dedication on right side of plinth reads: This column was erected in 1988/ By the Oswestry and District branch / of the Royal Artillery Association/ as a permanent memorial/ to all gunners especially those who/ passed through Park Hall Camp Dedication on centre of plinth reads; Let us remember/with thanksgiving and honour/ before God and man all ranks of/ the Royal regiment of Artillery/ who have died giving their lives/ in the service of/ their sovereign and their country Dedication of left side of plinth reads; Ubique/ quo fas et Gloria ducunt Everywhere/ where right and glory lead
