About the memorial:
Llyswen war memorial must have been a plinth with a artillery shell atop. Information states that it was destroyed by a vehicle at somepoint and a replacement is now located in the village but uncertain what form that takes.
Memorial destroyed by lorry replaced by more modest memorial.
Online research produced the photos from the Lost Ancestors website, which show a roadside stone with plaque covering both world wars.
