(Located within the church are 2 plaques, world war 1 and world war 2. the porch to the church was erected by the vicar rev. stratford and his wife in memory of his son who was killed in world war 1. there is also a roll of honour listing the names of all those who served in world war 1.)

To the glory of god this porch is erected by his sorrowing parents and brothers in most loving memory of laurence stratford . h. m. i. lieut. the riffle brigade who was killed in action in france 28th March 1918 aged 38 years ' lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon him' the above was son of the rev. w. t. stratford. vicar of this parish 1902 - 1924.
