Description: Flagpole

  • Stone Marble
  • Timber Timber (any)

About the memorial: The memorial is at a prominent road junction. When seen in 2016 the flagpole was present but when seen in July 2017 it was not. However, the presence of poppy wreaths suggested that the memorial was still active. When seen in March 2019 the flagpole had been restored and indeed had a Union Flag hanging from it. Unfortunately I was on the bus so was unable to take a photo but have since been able to do so. The church now appears to be the Deeper Life Church rather than part of the Church of England. IWM description: 'Wooden flagpole with marble tablet dedication.'
