About the memorial: Sandstone monument surrounded by hedging. A replacement marble plaque has been inserted with the names of the men killed in World War One incised into it. The original sandstone surface had become eroded by weather action. The name of one man killed in World War Two is incised into the sandstone below the marble plaque. The memorial stands beside a section of the old road which has been bypassed by the building of a new bridge but is signposted from the main A698 road.
