About the memorial: this memorial has been included although it refers to two people killed in WW11 because it appears to have been added to what was presumably a family plot with a red sandstone base. The newer addition is stone with a white headstone. It is situated on the path inside the churchyard leading from the direction of the village.

headstone George - "In loving memory of -- RAF VR killed in Honington Suffolk August 19th 1940 aged 20" Arthur - "and also of -- SG2 KSLI killed in Holland October 7th 1944 aged 35" Greater love hath no man and on a sill at the bottom of the grave "Blessed are the pure in heart" although this may be part of the original plot
