About the memorial: The Llanfarian Pentre Bont war memorial is in the form of an obelisk roughly hewn from grey granite. The lettering is incised and leaded. It is located on the junction of a small local road with the A487 trunk road. The gate is rusted shut but the low wall can be easily crossed. The concreted area upon which the memorial stands is showing signs of subsidence and the WW2 section is tilted slightly to the right
