About the memorial: The memorial is a carved tablet on the south nave wall. The stone is enclosed by a painted moulding (which may be of timber) which is painted red and gold. The incised lettering is filled with black and the initals are highlighted in red. The date at the top is carved in relief with the letters painted gold against a red background.
