In memory of Francis Churchill Quicke Major Kings Dragoon Guards, and an explorer of Central Africa, killed in action at Riverdale, near Harrismith, South Africa, October 27th 1901, aged 34 years. "Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God". Erected by his loving aunt, Louisa Minturn of New York.
