About the memorial: The erection of the cross was carried out by Mr C Pullin, a stonemason of Leomington, from a design by Mr Gerald Cogswell, ARIBA, of London. The material used is white Hollington stone, chosen as it "harmonises entirely with the Church and with the surroundings". The inclusive contract was £132. A public subscription raised £137/7/9; a leaflet details all those who donated and a statement of accounts. A service of dedication was held on 18th October 1920. In 1995, to commemorate fifty years after the end of WII, the Parish Council obtained a grant and had work done to refix the cross and re-carve the names. This was done by Colin Julian (b.1965), Stonemason . The work was funded by the Parish Council and a grant from the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB). Chairperson of the Parish Council Mr Tim Eades made a speech.
