Top of plinth [at front]: Lest We Forget Upper Front panel of plinth: In honour/ of the men who went forth from/ Leagrave, Limbury and Biscot/ to the/ Great War 1914-1919/ and in ever grateful memory of the 55 men/ of these parishes who came not back/ and whose names are here inscribed. Lower Front panel of plinth: Ye who live here, by Mead and Winding Lea/ remember these, who kept your Country free./ They died for Right. Let us, who here remain, so live that they shall not have died in vain. Other Plinth panels: WW1 Names.
