About the memorial: This plaque commemorates Capt. E.A.L. Powell and is located next to that of his son Lt. W.E.G.P.W Powell. Possibly devastated by the loss of his only son twelve years earlier he succumbed to an illness acquired whilst serving in the Middle East during the First World War. The Plaque is to the right (South) of the altar at national grid ref: SN 59916 810003.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HIS WIDOW AND TENANTS, IN MOST LOVING MEMORY OF A TRULY CHRISTIAN GENTLEMAN AND ONE OF THE MOST UPRIGHT AND KINDEST OF MEN.
