About the memorial: The Memorial is a framed illuminated sheet, hung on the south wall of the nave of the church. There is a gold border surrounding the list of names which have their first initial in red and a line of decoration filling the remainder of the line. The initial letter T is illuminated and contains a picture of Rievaulx Abbey with cattle in front. The first and last 2 lines of the memorial are written in gold.

To Commemorate the men of this Parish who, to their lasting honour, took service during the Great War for the defence of the Realm and the defeat of the King's enemies, and in humble gratitude to those of their number who laid down their lives for their country.
