To the glory of God and in honoured memory of His servants, three sons of the Rev E H Loring, once Vicar of this Parish, and of Charlotte Loring, his wife. They fell facing the enemy in defence of freedom and right. William Loring. Fellow of King's College, Cambridge, Warden of Goldsmith's College, University of London, Captain 2nd Scottish Horse, who died at sea of wounds received while leading an attack at Suvla, Gallipoli October 24th 1915 aged 50 years.
