About the memorial: Memorial is no. 327 in Green Zone near Polish War Memorial. A black, tapering, polished granite (?) plinth supporting a silver metallic sculpture of the Corps badge (QARANC). It is set at the end of a gravelled pathway culminating in the shape of the Corps' cross. There are four seats set in a circle on grass surrounding the memorial. IWM Register entry reads - Polished black marble pyramid-shaped stone with the name of the Corps engraved on the front face. On the top of the stone is a metalwork sculpture of the Corps' insignia (a cross surrounded by a wreath and topped by a crown). The stone is positioned at the head of a cross-shaped gravel path. There are four black marble benches positioned around the edge of the path, each with engravings of badges of the QA Association, QARANC - Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps, TANS - Territorial Army Nursing Service and QAIMNS - Queen Alexandra's Imperial Nursing Service. The memorial is surrounded by a grassed area with trees, shrubs and individual wooden benches.
