M., Company Quartermaster Sergeant, 9th (Service) Battalion Norfolk Regiment, Killed in Action, France, April 17th 1918. Age 30 years. For seven years Organist and Choirmaster of this church. Erected by officers, non-comd. officers and men of the Battalion, as a token of respect and esteem. “Whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.”” With badge of Norfolk Regiment
