About the memorial: In the combined forces chapel, St George's for army, this is a dark metal pedimented plaque. In the centre is a panel with inscriptions and names surrounded by a darker leaf border containing the battle honours in gold paint with a gold VR and crown at the top. To the left is an infantryman leaning on his rifle and above in the pediment is an arm holding a wreath with two standards and the mouth of a cannon and a quarter sun in gold over the top right corner.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
