About the memorial: in the combined forces chapel, St George's for army, this is a dark metal pedimented plaque. In the centre is a panel with inscriptions and names surrounded by a darker leaf border containing the battle honours in gold paint with a gold VR and crown at the top. To the left is an infantryman leaning on his rifle and above in the pediment is an arm holding a wreath with two standards and the mouth of a cannon and a quarter sun in gold over the top right corner.
