About the memorial: The memorial is a two light window. The left light is a figure of Joshua with sword and shield. The right hand light is a figure of King David with sceptre and harp. The motto "and his servants shall serve him" goes across both lights. In the tracery is an emblem which appears on the colours of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, a thistle within a green circle on which are the words "Nemo me impune lacessit" above which is a crown. This is not the usual badge of the Royal Scots. Beneath this is hte motto of this unit. "Second to none".
