About the memorial: Four-legged brass lectern; double-sided with coat-of-arms and inscription on one of the reading surfaces: "To the Glory of God and in ever loving memory of John Ormonde Butler, Secd. Lieut. R.A.F,. only son of the Revd. Robert Moore Peile Butler. M.A., Rector of Priston. Who was mortally wounded while flying in France on March 24th 1918 and died in Prisoners of War hospital, Mons, April 11th 1918, Aged 19 years S. John XV.13." Decorative brass wreaths at the base of all four sides.
