Wilfrid Stanislaus, Capt. Royal Fusiliers, killed in action at Hooge, Belgium, November 8th 1914, aged 28 years, second & fourth sons of Frederick & Isabella Stapleton-Bretherton of The Hall, Rainhill, Osmund Frederick Joseph, Lieut. 9th Lancers, killed in action in France, March 22nd 1918, aged 19 years, only son of Frederick B & Bertha Stapleton-Bretherton. “Jesus be not to me a judge but a saviour”.
