About the memorial:
A bronze sculpture of a medic carrying a wounded soldier over rocky ground which has a small dedicatory plaque attached. The whole is mounted on a tapering granite plinth in a paved area.
It is set in a large woodland with individual trees dedicated to RAMC members. 29 wre awarded VCs.
At the entrance to the grove is a tapering plinth with an inset, brown marble tablet with RAMC symbol & name in gold.
Inn the centre of the grove is a rough hewn rock with a metal relief of the RAMC logo (a wreath encompassing a sword with snake entwined) and a small brass plaque with name of corps.
