About the memorial: Bronze Plaque in a wooden frame with the names of the 65 fallen. At the top is the Burning Bush and the Campbell motto 'Ne Obliviscaris' (Do not forget). At the bottom is a gaelic dedication which was composed by Rev Gillespie Campbell, Minister of the Gaelic congregation, and translates as (Their name and their fame will last forever; a stone on the cairn of memory of the heroes). Below is a copper plaque decorated with an embossed 'Galley of Lorn' -the sign of the Dukedom of Lorn[e] & part of the arms, above a small lectern with a book containing on vellum, the names of all who served in the War. (There are 216 names)- this is WMO/276980

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
