About the memorial: A large wooden frame with a corniced, nowy headed pediment encompassng a relief of the regimental badge and with corniced edges housing an array of attacments. In the centre is a WW1 brass plaque with several sections. At the centre is a relief of a war memorial pillar with a soldier on either side set between a column on either side. In the top two corners is a square with shield design in it and the bottom two corners some dedicatory words. In between the squares are sections with dedications and on the sides sections with names. At the sides are bronze plaques attached showing more names with wreaths in relief above them and a smaller plaque below. The central section rests on a base with a further inscription. Separately there is a tall bronze plaque on either side with WW2 dedication and names. The memorial was originally situated in the Regiment's Drill Hall at Offord Road Banbury.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
