About the memorial: Plaque dedicated to those from the firm of George Kent who lost their lives during WW1+2. Rectangular wooden frame incorporating three glazed panels. The centre panel commemorates those who died in either the First or Second World War (including civilians who died in WW1 through explosions in the manufacture of munitions); the panels that flank it list the company's employees who served in HM Forces in WW1. N.B. The names of those who died in the Forces in WW1 are listed twice on the memorial, i.e. in a side panel as having served and also in the centre panel as having died.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
