About the memorial: The memorial is a three light stained glass window in the south nave wall. It depicts the 11 disciples with Mary looking to heaven where there are a number of angels. In the top tracery are the words "I ascend to my Father and unto your Father". Along the bottom are the words "Why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven" from Acts of the Apostles Chapter 1 verse 11.
