About the memorial: A Roll of Honour is painted on the paper which glazed and wooden framed. The sides of the frame are decorated with doric style columns and the open pediment on top of the frame. The upper part of Roll of Honour is coloured in black, red and blue surrounded by decorative border with blue ribbon. There are two pattern of shields at the side of the border, on the right, it written 'peace', and on the left, written 'declaration of war August 4th 1914'. The banner is painted between Roll of Honour and Names, which is written 'For King & Country'. Names are in two columns with rank and regiment, followed by the manner of death. (c IWM Register)
