About the memorial: The RBL has just opened 'The Legionnaire' pub, having closed its original premises some years ago. The sculpture is beside the front door, surrounded by poppies. It is all the same colour, the different shades in the photograph are caused by sunlight falling on part of it. The whereabouts of the stone of remembrance which was outside the original RBL club remain unknown though War Memorials Trust is making enquiries.
