About the memorial: Brass memorial plaque on a wooden board. Christ Church is a redundant Anglican church in Macclesfield. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It is open to visitors at advertised times. The church was in use until 1981. It remains consecrated and is used occasionally for services.
